Basseterre, St. Kitts – The St. Kitts and Nevis Bureau of Standards (SKNBS) is pleased to announce the launch of its first website at www.sknbs.org.

The SKNBS has the major responsibility of protecting the environment, health and safety of consumers. Its activities also focus on preparing, promoting and generally adopting standards on a national, regional or international basis relating to structures, commodities, materials, articles and other things offered to the public commercially, hence promoting standardization, quality assurance and simplification in industry and commerce. The new website is designed to be user-friendly, allowing visitors to obtain relevant information about the Bureau’s work and services provided.

“We are extremely excited to launch this new, modern website for the St. Kitts and Nevis Bureau of Standards,” said Mr Hiram Williams, Acting Director, SKNBS. “The Bureau recognizes the importance of evolving its outreach, communication and services to be in sync with an ever-changing global environment.”

The SKNBS.org website fuses style and content to provide the best possible user experience to sift through the Bureau’s services such as air quality monitoring, food, water and soil analyses, to name a few. The website will make it easier for customers to better understand the Bureau’s wide range of services and capabilities. The Bureau has also included a news section to disseminate updates and consumer alert notices to the public.

The SKNBS website was developed in cooperation with the CARICOM Regional Organisation for Standards and Quality (CROSQ) with assistance of the 10thEuropean Development Fund (EDF) Caribbean Regional Indicative Programme Economic Partnership Agreement (CRIP) Technical Barriers to Trade (TBT) Programme.
